Postnatal Support
Congratulations – you’ve birthed your baby!
And now, that’s all anyone asks about: how is baby doing? how is baby growing? But birth isn’t only about baby – it’s also about your transition into motherhood. At times it can feel overwhelming, all encompassing, and like we don’t know ourselves anymore.
There’s a name for this feeling – it’s called Matrescence. The point where we become someone new….a mother.
Like every transition, it starts with a journey through the dark and a rebirth into the light as someone new. Then part of our work is figuring out how to integrate this new personhood into our old selves and find balance and ease within our lives as they change around us. While all this is happening, perhaps you want some support, a hand to hold and someone to bring you tea, run you a bath and hug you if you need to cry.
As a Postnatal Doula, I can support you to stand strong and confident in the decisions you make about your parenting, feeding and sleep choices
I can signpost you to trusted sources so you can make real, informed choices
And most of all I will nurture, care for and listen to you, and your feelings as you walk this path of motherhood – regardless of whether it’s the first time or the fifth.
I can be a calm, supportive presence among the storm of information and decisions. A sounding board and a place to come when you feel unsure. I will hold space for you to just be, however you are, whatever you feel. I can ease your physical pain to allow any emotions to move through.
And if you’re on this road, also carrying chronic illness, fatigue and pain along with you – wondering how you’ll cope with the relentless sleep deprivation, cluster feeding and uncomfortable baby pillow positions, know that I’ve got you. It’s a path I walked myself and it would be my honour to hold you while you find your own way.

Please note: I am still in my mentoring period as a doula, so my Doula Companion would reach out to you after our work together to gather your feedback to help me grow, develop and improve in my role as a Doula.
Yes of course! I have a Doula massage package of 3 x 75 minute treatments for £350.
These treatments could take place either at your home or at one of my clinic locations, and can be used at any point up to 6 months post partum. They also optionally include a birth debrief and postnatal rehab plan for return to exercise.
Ok great! I do that too – you can either have a one off 90 minute appointment for £85 or you can book a short block of 3 treatments for £225
Treatments are 75 – 90 minutes and your first treatment will have space for a 30 minute consultation to talk about your birth experience and anything you want to share or discuss. Don’t forget I’m a doula too, so if there are things you just want to talk over we can do that as part of your appointment.
In the treatment we’ll use a mixture a deep tissue, gentle stretching and remedial work to ground and calm your body, to ease out anything you’re carrying over from pregnancy or birthing.
If you’re within the first 6 weeks post birth, treatments will be carried out sidelying, and your body will be fully supported to allow you to completely relax and experience the massage – leaving you mentally and physically rejuvenated and realigned.
After 6 weeks we can lie you happily on your front, back and side and really get into any areas of tension or pain that are creeping in from parenting, feeding and sleep deprivation, or that might be hanging around still from pregnancy and birth.
Please note, if you’ve had a c-section I can see you 8 weeks post birth for massage, though we may not start any scar work (if desired) until 12 weeks post birth depending on your section healing journey.
If you need the appointment to happen at your home, and it’s stand alone (not connected to doula services) then please contact me to discuss!
