Pregnancy Support

Pregnancy – whether it’s you first or fourth – is a path of transformation for your body and for your brain. At times it can feel overwhelming or all encompassing, like we don’t know ourselves anymore. Society tells us we should be glowing and loving every minute of our “pregnancy journey”…. and maybe you are!

And…maybe you also realise that you’ve got a whole new world of advice and decisions to navigate both before and after birth. Perhaps your body feels like a stranger, full of shifts and pain, making it difficult to get the rest you so desperately need.

Or maybe you’ve been sat down and told, you’re high risk, you can’t have the birth you want, your care becomes medical and you feel more anxiety than joy.

As a Doula, I can support you to stand strong and confident in the decisions you make,

To gather all the information and hold space for you to digest it so you can make real, informed choices

And to help you feel nurtured, cared for and listened to throughout your pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I can be a calm, supportive presence among the storm of information and decisions. A sounding board and a place to come when you feel unsure. I will hold space for you to just be, however you are, whatever you feel. I can ease your physical pain to allow any emotions to move through.

And if you’re on this road, also carrying chronic illness, a high-risk label or pain along with you, know that I’ve got you. It’s a path I walked myself and it would be an honour to provide this support to you during your pregnancy and after you’ve given birth.

  • Dedicated advocacy and a non-judgemental space to explore all your birth choices
  • Support during your labour: On call period of 38+5 weeks to 41+3 (or as agreed) for births at home and at the hospital
  • Support manging chronic pain, fatigue and hypermobility syndromes alongside pregnancy and postnatally
  • Breast / chest feeding support
  • Postnatal recovery advice tailored for you, referrals and signposting where needed
  • Up to 3 antenatal visits of around 2 hours each, which will go through your birth preferences, physiology of birth, comfort measures for birth and give you chance to ask me to look into any research or information you might want or need to help you make your choices.
  • Ongoing support in pregnancy via WhatsApp/video calls as needed and desired
  • Check in visit during the on call period
  • 1 post natal support visit (3 hours)
  • WhatsApp or email support post birth for 6 weeks, as well as signposting to other practitioners
  • 1 post birth healing care package (scar balms, bath teas and a herbal tea blend to support the postnatal period)

Birth Package cost: £1750 (mentored cost)

Please note: I am still in my mentoring period as a doula, so my Doula Companion would reach out to you after the birth to gather your feedback to help me grow, develop and improve in my role as a Doula.

Yes of course! I have a Doula massage package of 3 x 75 minute treatments for £350.
These treatments could take place either at your home or at one of my clinic locations, and can be used at any point up to 6 months post partum. They also optionally include a birth debrief and postnatal rehab plan for return to exercise.

Usually I would recommend two treatments prior to birth and one postnatal treatment, especially as regular massage has been shown in research studies to reduce the first and second stage of labour by up to three hours

Ok great! I do that too – you can either have a one off 90 minute appointment for £85 or you can book a short block of 3 treatments for £225

Treatments are 75 – 90 minutes and your first treatment will have space for a 30 minute consultation to talk about your pregnancy experience and anything you want to share or discuss. Don’t forget I’m a doula too, so if there are things you just want to talk over we can do that as part of your appointment.
In the treatment we’ll use a mixture a deep tissue, gentle stretching and remedial work to ground and calm your body.
Treatments will be carried out sidelying, and your body and your bump will be fully supported to allow you to completely relax and experience the massage – leaving you mentally and physically rejuvenated and realigned.

And if you’re suffering with PGP, pelvic pain or those horrendous hot spots from side sleeping, I can help with that too! Myofascial release has multiple benefits and is safe for you to have in pregnancy. We’ll create space around the pelvis, see if we can help adjust your sacrum and get your hips feeling fluid, not painful.

If you need the appointment to happen at your home, and it’s stand alone (not connected to doula services) then please contact me to discuss!

Yes I do! Even if you’re not a doula client you can book this as a one off home visit treatment to get that oxytocin flowing and support your body in early labour. During the appointment we’ll work on the floor, sofa or bed in whatever position feels comfortable to you through any surges/contractions. We’ll focus on providing relaxation between surges and getting you into pain relieving positions during surges – and before I go I can teach your partner a couple of lovely holds to help keep that pain relief going as labour builds.
These appointments would be 2 hours to allow for setup time, position changes, partner education (if desired) and maximal relaxation.
The cost is £140
